Messy Church

Join us for fun, crafts, celebration time and food!

Messy Church is aimed at families. It is a way of being church for families involving fun. Messy Church is growing not only in this country but across the globe.

Our Messy Church meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 4pm to 6pm, either at St Thomas Church or at the nearby Salvation Army. Each Messy Church is based around a Bible theme or story and has three essential ingredients. Firstly, following a warm welcome the first hour involves us being messy doing craft activities. During this time you will not only have the opportunity to do lots of different things but learn a little about the story.

The second part is where we celebrate and worship together. This lasts for about fifteen minutes during which we sing together, listen to the story and pray together. After we say the Messy Grace together we then sit down to eat together. This is a most important part of Messy Church where we get to spend time, getting to know each other and making friends.

If you would like join us at Messy Church, we look forward to welcoming you. We do not charge but have a box for donations towards the cost of food and craft materials which if you are able to contribute towards we would be very grateful.
